CATACOMB KEEP

The burial grounds of a large lineage of demi-Gods called the Nighthood. These fallen volkari members had fought hard for their freedom to live against the opposing forces of their demi-God bretheren known as the kai who wanted to wipe them from existence because they were the blood of Malacath. This maze of a crypt was specifically designed to keep intruders from desecrating the graves of generations of proud volkari. With no source of light, the catacomb is a foreboding place. There is a mass infestation of rats and even raskin that plague the crypt they call home. The rats seem to have an agenda themselves as if they were sworn to protect this sacred ground by devouring those foolish enough to wander deeper inside. Stepping down the stone steps will lead you into a narrow hallway that seems to stretch long into a void of darkness. The stone walls are thinly narrow and can easily give one a sense of claustrophobia. There are no signs of torch holders anywhere so one would be wise to bring a torch with them, however, venturing into this hallway will lead to certain death as the hallway itself is littered with deadly traps, fatal for the unwary and unskilled. Surviving the long and dark hall will bring you to a larger room filled with embroider coffins encased in the stone walls. These coffins belonged to the volkari who was at the front of the line in the first war between the kai. Much like the rest of the massive tomb, these precious coffins are specially protected with traps as well. Those who foolishly wander in the depths of this place will find themselves hopelessly and fatally lost, soon to be swarmed and eaten by its little protectors.
