Draken
The draken are a beastkin race that came from the birth of a akin mating with the Dragons of Old. The Dragons of Old are the beings who were one of the first creations along with the kai. They were of apex origin before they were corrupted by Malacath's fall to Ein. The true identity of a dragon is lost in time, having been heavily altered by Malacath's aura. They are believed to have been Gods of the apex before they were afflicted. They were behemoth is size, said to have reached the heavens themselves and wielded unsurmountable power that rivaled the Kai. Full of evil, the dragon kin were turned mad with power and destruction, laying waste to land with their vast array of magica. Too keep them for tearing the world asunder with their rampage, the kai took arms against the dragon race and slew them, bringing them close to extinction. To salvage their kind, the dragons of Ein have displaced themselves within a secretive realm where they would be safe from both the kai and their own kind. Stricken with madness of the mind, the dragons had turned on each other in the pursuit for total domination, believing them to be rightful Gods of the realm. Because of this, some of the dragons have disassociated themselves from this mindset and sealed their likeliness within a realm not completely disconnected from the world, but difficult to reach. This piece of the en is known as The Realm of Dragons and sits above Ein's plain, a land part that hovers over the world, completely out of reach and sight. There is no possible way one could reach the floating island of these mythical beings and their sect. The only way for one to enter would be if they were permitted within the realm by the blood of a dragon. Some believe that there still remains a shred of a gateway that leads directly into the realm, however this sliver of the portal is unknown. One one person has entered the realm of dragons and lived to tell the tale.
He was to be a simple akin who happened to stumble upon the open portal to the overhead land and the first of his kind to be welcomed by the dragons there. He would live amongst them and learn their ways, that not all of the dragon kind had completely given into the corruption of Malacath. They had some how retained their dignity and repressed the ailment of their minds, saving them from a fate of certain death. The dragons are known to be cunning and intelligent beings, marking them as wise apex with the sense of consciousness and thought. It is this very notion that kept the dragons from being completely wiped out by the kai and their own kind. Till this day, there are very few dragons that exist within Ein, all haven been slain or locked away for safety. Despite this, the dragon race had not completely failed as their blood was carried with the aid of the akin who managed to breech into their world. He would successfully court and mate with a female dragon, creating the race known as draken, a human hybrid of the dragons. To quell the corruption that plagues every dragon and draken, the draken began to confide in the Devine above. They began to learn about the Gods that created them and the lessons they taught against the overtake of Malacath. This loyalty to the Gods would pass on from generation to generation, making the draken race to be one of the most devoted to the Gods. Their belief system and everything that they do is for the Gods. Prayers, Praise, and unflinching Devotion are key to the dragons and draken race. To be disconnected with the Gods is to be truly lost. This is why most draken have picked up professions and classes that would align with the will of the Gods. Classes such as monk, priest, crusadar, and even vigilantes are common amongst the scaley beastkin. To follow the path of the light leads to enlightenment and the ultimate truth, whatever that may be to a draken. There are several breeds to the draken race. The most common of them being called drakes. Drakes are result of the kai's assault and punishment against the dragons. When they terrorized the land, the kai battled against them, cutting off their wings so that they could not soar through the skies as an advantage. Till this day, most of the draken are wingless with wings being a very rare trait of theirs. Then there are those whose limbs have been severed to keep them from storming the grounds. These draken are known as wyverns, rarely seen within the world. Then there are the lun draken. Lun dragons are especially unique as they have not been marred by the kai in any physical way, but the corruption within them has altered their bodies, stretching it in lengths that is said to coil around the world itself. The draken can be found all over the world including Elaska. Like most of the dragons before them, draken are highly proficient in ashur magica but also highly adept is any form of magica they taken on, having a strone magical aptitude that dwarves that of the elkai.
