Nym of Souls
Rumor has it that there is a demi-God out there named Nym of Souls. It is believed that he is responsible for the death of many young who have lost their lives to him. The tale goes that if a youth is naughty, Nym will come to collect his soul. Sightings have told of Nym's escapades at night, stealing away the souls of pups with the promise of sweets and fun. He whisks the young away effortlessly with the use of his flute, playing joyful music that floods the ears of the young and puts them in a sort of trance. The youngkin are then seen following Nym into the dark forest where they are never to be seen again. There are evidence of Nym's dealings within the forests he dwells in as one can guess what happens to the youths he abducts. Spirit-like anomalies called wisps can be seen floating about, phasing through the trees like pensive souls, looking for their home. The wisps are colored in blue, indicating the sad state upon their loss.

The brighter, more colorful looking wisps are known as fairies or sprites. These fairies themselves are considered to be the more happier souls of the youths Nym steals away, having been treated with kindness before their death. These young spirits usually reside in brightly lit forests. Nym sports a special sack he uses to store away the souls of the young he steals inside. As not to frighten the children away, he takes on the form of a bipedal fox-like creature with impish features. He stands on two legs, and sports three tails though the number of tails is insurmountable as he uses them to wrangle youngkin souls into his bag. Nym is also known as the God of Mischief due to the many pranks he will pull on mortals before their timely death, a sure sign that he is near. Legend has it that this demi-God use to be the servant of Noctis, the God of Death. A long time ago, Noctis and Nym worked with each other in doing their part of the world by collecting the souls of the dead. One day, Nym would accidentally spill open his sack filled with souls whom would escape and wander the world as lost souls. Often times the lingering souls can be seen floating about aimlessly or puttering about joyfully. The lost souls are also said to be the result of the kreptis that creep within the darkest corners of the worlds and abandoned places. Often times these dark souls would be seen skulking throughout a well known forest known the Kreptic Forest. The loss of these souls would cause Noctis to become angered at Nym's foolishness resulting in the two separating and leaving Nym to venture aimlessly on his own. The chaotic nature of Nym coupled with losing his friend would result in the beginning of him collecting the souls of the young in a meaningless attempt to quell his disorganized soul.
