The akinine believe that they came from their Demi-God of the hunt.There is a legend of a boy akin who wanted to save his sister from an evil beastkin. The evil beastkin challenged him to a race in order to save his sister, but the boy could not dream of defeating the evil beastkin for it was far quicker than him on four legs. The boy prayed to the Gods for the means to defeat the evil beastkin and save his sister. The Gods heard the boy's prayer and bestowed him the ability to run like the beastkin. He was given the legs of a canine and the pelt of one that would further grant him the stamina and agility of a beastkinThis was what the boy needed in order to race and defeat the evil beastkin. Outraged, the evil beastkin sought to slay the boy, but the powers granted to the boy by the Gods gave the boy much more than just speed and agility, but strength the boy never knew he had. Using his newfound powers, the boy slew the evil beastkin and saved not only his sister, but his people as well. From that day on, the boy was known as the Demi-God and king of the akinine.
