Order of the Red Flame

image.png

The Order of the Red Flame is a guild made up of skilled adventurers. Only the brave and bold can enter the ranks of the guild and even so, they are still challenged with tasks of either the slaying of dangerous monsters or helping those in need. There is no requirement to joining the guild. One must simply have the heart of steel and thirst for life. Like a pledge, the Order of the Flame is there to challenge the strength and mettle of an individual through daunting tasks and quests. Some will join in order to gain fame and riches while others simply wish to find meaning within themselves. Whatever the reason may be, those that join the guild are welcomed with open arms and the opportunity to prove themselves. The age requirement for joining the guild can start as early as the age of eleven to twelve years old. The young seeking to join the guild must first go through a trial period that will test their abilities and strengths to see if they have what it takes to become a full fledged member. Once this is done, the young Flame members are then given their first true quest to complete in order to gain their **Flame badge of recognition**. These quests can range from the difficulty of slaying monsters fit for the young ages, or retrieving a lost item. Once the quest is complete, the young will gain their badge of honor and join their colleagues within the ranks. There are several sections that make up the Order of the Flame. The first section is split into three different branches one can enter starting out. These starting branches act as focal points of focus for members to enter. The three different branches are as followed: The White Light; which consists of healers, monks and crusaders, The Hardy; which houses warriors, brawlers, and guardians, and The Black Cloak; which is made up of rogues, hunters, and scouts. Once a member is able to master one of the three branches within the first section, they can then ascend to the second section and become a mentor. These advisors are skilled members who have mastered their profession of choice and have partaken the role of teaching their knowledge to others within the starting section. There are several tests one must go through in order to prove they have what it takes to become a mentor. These tests are often dangerous in nature and will greatly challenge the individual on whether or not they have what it takes to mentor another. It is important that the mentor succeeds in completing their tests and take their role seriously when mentoring another as they would have the responsibility of holding the life of another in their hands. The third and last section of the guild consists of a high council. This council is responsible for adhering to the ways of the guild and deals with the more pressing matters. They are also there to act as stable consultants to those within the lower sections. As such, they are responsible for handing out certain tasks to certain individuals and will often have the last say when making crucial decisions. It is not typical for a council member to be hands on with any task or quest needed to be done that would otherwise put them in danger. Rather, it is their duty to stay firm to their resolve and remain a constant source of support to their colleagues.
