VOLKARI

The volkari are winged akin born into a high status. They are able to take the form of anything they have knowledge of such as other beasts and even objects. The soul affinity of a volkari is extremely powerful as they were the first borns of the Fallen God, Malacath and Yara herself, making them demi-Gods with magical aptitude that rivaled the kai. The older and wiser the volkari, the more powerful their abilities can become. In laymen terms, the volkari can be considered the avian people of their world or even demonic beings as they are all born with wings and horns, sometimes multiple ones. A volkari without wings is considered either a misshaped disappointment to the race or a pity.

Though the shapeshifting abilities allows the volkari to take any form they know, the distinction of their coloration remains consistent. Just like all volkari are born with wings, so too are they born black and white in pigmentations when they are young. It is only when they find a suitable mate or master will they gain their true pigmentation. They can come in several colors ranging from pink, red, purple, blue, and natural colors. The black and white coloration will remain as secondary or tertiary markings along their body. Like the volkin, volkari markings can come in a range of stripes, spots, and dapples. The horns of a volkari are not used for anything in particular and are often seen as aesthetic appeal. It is not uncommon for a volkari to decorate their horns in jewelry, chains, or bandages. The carvings of a volkari's horns represent the flow of their soul. When ignited, it shows the current mood of the volkari, often times excited. When this happens, it is best that the volkari exude their energy else they risk magical overflow. When this happens, a volkari can become extremely ill or even driven mad.

The face of a volkari is extremely hard, much like the beaks of birds. All though the face is tough, it is extremely sensitive to touch. The slightest movement could trigger the senses of a volkari, this helps them best when they are hunting or navigating at night. The eyes of a volkari is surrounded by furthers(feathers and fur) and are stark in appearance. Much like birds, they have excellent vision and field view, able to see 130yards away on average. The larger the volkari, the further they can see.

The volkari are not known for their variety when it comes to breeds, however, over time they have become stretched into different kinds of winged beings.
